Fractal thingy 620
With fierce blizzards that reduce visibility to near zero, bone chilling temperatures that can sublimate dry ice from the air, deep crevasses craved by summer melt water that flow into the ice to join labyrinths of subterranean rivers and lakes, and vast expanses of pure nothingness, the polar regions are realms full of hazards.
A few years back I got to actually visit a glacier and it was amazing (definitely something that everyone should do if they can). Ice is so powerful and it transforms the landscapes into such alien forms. And of course they are so big! To imagine the size scale of a place like Antarctica.... It is just beyond me! But here I am..... stuck down in the tropics far far away from cold.
This is, in my opinion, one of the best fractals I've made so far. I just love looking at it. I see all sorts of symbols in it that are defiantly winter-themed.
