Ta da! I centered a fractal just for who often seem.... Concerned? About by lack of desire to place fractal's centers in the center of the image.
I kid, I wanted to center this one
I was aiming for blue and orange, but it ended up more blue and reddish.
The name is actually geology inspired. Magma deep in the earth still contains a certain percentage of water (along with carbon dioxide and some gases). Water in rock is very important, and the earth would be very different geologically if water was not present. Some people believe that the water was in the molten earth initially and exited though volcanic eruption to make the oceans.
Water plays the important role of reducing the melting point of rock. If water didn't exist in the rock, it would only start to melt at 1500 degrees C. Thanks to water, melting can start occurring at 800 degrees. Now, water also leaves the earth constantly to enter the ocean and atmosphere, but it doesn't dry up because it is put back in too. When plates subduct and get pushed under each other, they drag down water saturated rock and sediment with it. This water allows the relativly cool rock being push down to melt and rise up to the surface. This is part of why we get so many volcanoes in places like the Andes, west coast of North America, Indonesia, ect.
So without water earth would not only not have life, it might not have even had volcanoes.
I was wondering if I can use this in something, purely for practice in manipulation, Ill be sure to credit you if I am allowed c:
It's a lovely piece too~
